We have an exciting opportunity available for a Paralegal to join the APA Legal and Governance team on a permanent fulltime basis.
Reporting to the Group Counsel - Corporate, the primary objective of this position is providing legal and administrative support to the in house Legal team. Sydney-based is preferred, but willing to consider Brisbane or Perth.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and manage standard legal agreements (e.g. NDAs, supplier contracts).
- Conduct legal research and prepare summaries on corporate and regulatory matters.
- Assist with internal legal queries and provide preliminary guidance under supervision.
- Manage document filing systems and legal databases
- Support matter tracking, reporting, and billing processes.
- Assist the Legal team with strategic legal projects focussed on improving efficiency and reducing spend
Your background
- Diploma or Certificate in Legal Studies (or equivalent) preferred.
- 2–4 years' experience in a paralegal or legal assistant role, preferably in-house or in a corporate law firm
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Proactive, results-driven, intellectually curious and willing to upskill in unfamiliar areas
- Strong communication skills, collaborative and the ability to work with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
