Melbourne, Victoria, Australia Outcomes Lab Full time

Location:
 Melbourne, VIC (Mobile service)

Employment Type:
 Full time or Part time

About us

Outcomes Lab is a registered NDIS provider in Melbourne. Led by a Clinical Neuropsychologist who is also an Advanced PBS Practitioner, we deliver psychology, neuropsychology, and positive behaviour support. Our approach is neuroaffirming, with a focus on meaningful clinical work, plans that translate into real-world application, and robust support structures for practitioners.

We are a small team that keeps learning. We refine our BSPs, our interventions, and how we connect with families and supports. We try new systems, use tech and AI where it helps, and share ideas so improvements stick. Collaboration is central to how we work.

The Role

This role is available for 3 to 5 days per week and involves a mix of mobile and telehealth work in Melbourne. You will manage a varied caseload with autonomy, supported by regular team meetings and individual supervision as needed (likely at least weekly in the early stages).

You will:

  • Conduct functional behaviour assessments and develop clear, practical BSPs
  • Coach families, support workers, and educators on implementation
  • Review and adjust plans based on data and feedback
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team
  • Use modern tools to keep your work organised and transparent

You will thrive here if you

  • Are energised by meaningful PBS work and want to make a steady, genuine impact
  • Practice from a neuroaffirming framework
  • Demonstrate initiative and ownership
  • Value direct feedback as a tool for professional growth
  • Engage confidently with technology and are curious about AI applications in clinical practice

What you need

  • NDIS Commission registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner (entry level, core, or proficient)
  • Experience developing and implementing BSPs within the NDIS framework
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently
  • Current Driver's Licence and access to a vehicle
  • Working with Children Check, Police Check, and NDIS Worker Screening (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Commitment to lifelong learning and an understanding that good practice means staying curious

Highly desirable

  • More than one year experience working within the NDIS as a PBS practitioner
  • A relevant allied health qualification (e.g. psychology, nursing, social work, education etc.)
  • Experience with complex presentations including autism, intellectual disability, trauma, and acquired brain injury.
  • Familiarity with neuroaffirming practice
  • Confidence using technology and openness to AI tools in clinical work
  • Proficiency in restrictive practice reporting, authorisation, reduction strategies, and fade-out planning

What we offer

  • Above award remuneration, aligned with experience
  • Weekly group supervision with the team
  • Individual supervision as needed
  • Internal professional development plus a PD allowance
  • A supportive multidisciplinary team across psychology, neuropsychology, and behaviour support
  • Flexible hours balancing home-based and community work

How to apply

Please send us your cover letter and resume, letting us know your availability and the hours you are seeking. Applications will be considered based on your qualifications, experience, commitment, and availability.
