We are looking for a suitably qualified Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner to join Gunyah of Wellness AMS, in Nambour, QLD Australia. We specialise in providing health services to Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people and to the whole of the community, but We are not your typical medical center
You will work alongside GP's, Allied Health, and Aboriginal Health Practitioners in the medical centre as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner, in addition to empowering Mob through community initiatives. Chronic Disease Management and Primary Health Care experience highly desirable.

Position Details
Primary Role: Health Manager
Work Location: Nambour
Employment Type: Part Time, 4 days/week (30,32 or 34.4hrs)
Salary Range: $45 - $53 per hour (according to experience and certifications)
Qualification & Experience: Diploma or Degree in Community/Social Services and/or medical practice and/or a minimum of 2 years in Team Leader or Management Position
Position reports to: Chief Health Officer
Position Summary
Provide team leadership and coaching through the vision and mission of the organisation. Responsible for the operations service provision of all Gunyah of Wellness locations, in keeping with service targets, accountabilities and REFOCUS values and service objectives.
Responsibilities
- Ensure process and systems are in accordance with national standards for accreditation,
- Contribution to the development of practice business plans which will enhance further a high standard of patient health outcomes while driving financial sustainability.
- Provide monthly summaries to the CHO regarding all practice activities.
- Develop, maintain and Implement Procedures
Support the recruitment of general Practitioners including the following:
Liaising with recruitment agencies to fill existing GP gaps.
Screening prospective GP qualifications/Registration/eligibility to work in Australia and making recommendations to the CHO.
Ensuring that GP onboarding processes are up to date and comprehensive
- Support the setup of any new medical sites and servicers.
- Continue to support the practice Hub manual maintenance and compliance.
- Provide training and support to new Practice mangers.
- Support the medical team if staff away with normal medical centre functions.
- Always exercise confidentiality with regards to patient care and all aspects of the practice
