Primary objective

Work within a small team to develop, implement and review quality assurance systems and processes that assess internal

and external service delivery quality and legislative compliance. Maintain effective internal controls to inform direction for

continuous quality improvement in children and families, domestic, family and sexual violence and homelessness services.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Actively contribute to the development of a culture that embraces quality assurance, reflective practice and continuous

quality improvement.

  1. Develop and maintain processes to collect timely, accurate records of quality assurance activities and findings to enable

reporting of progress over time.

  1. Build collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to plan and implement quality assurance.

  2. Conduct assessment and monitoring activities of internal and external services to provide objective advice about service

delivery quality, and legislative compliance to inform identification of opportunities for continuous quality improvement.

5. Prepare timely, high quality, objective reports and products that provide evidence-based findings to inform risk

assessment, risk mitigation and strategies to achieve continuous quality improvement.

  1. Contribute to the identification of strategic, measurable, achievable, realistic and timely solutions to address quality

assurance findings where improvements need to be made.

Selection criteria

Essential

1. Demonstrated experience in working as part of a team and independently motivated to achieve results while fostering a

culture that encourages, empowers and enables delivery of quality customer experiences.

  1. Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles and high-level organisation skills that can adapt under

pressure, and an ability to create processes and systems to support the monitoring of service delivery, promote

accountability and measure change over time.

  1. Proven assessment skills with the ability to acquire and synthesise information to make objective assessments and

findings.

  1. High level written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex issues in a clear manner

with a range of diverse audiences.

  1. High level interpersonal skills including the ability to interact and work effectively with people from diverse cultures,

maintaining good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and demonstrated problem solving and

negotiation skills.

  1. A current NT Drivers licence and an ability to travel to all regional areas across the Northern Territory.

  2. A current Working with Children Clearance (Ochre card) and the ability to pass a National Criminal History Check.

  3. Formal training in project management and/or quality assurance frameworks.
