Primary objective

Lead a small team to implement and deliver the quality assurance program leading stakeholder engagement and relationships

to develop, monitor and review quality assurance systems and processes. Maintain effective internal controls to service

delivery quality and legislative compliance, and to inform direction for continuous quality improvement in children and

families, domestic, family and sexual violence and homelessness services.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Lead the development of a culture that embraces quality assurance, reflective practice and continuous quality

improvement.

  1. Lead a function and oversight the development and maintenance of processes to collect timely, accurate records of

quality assurance activities and findings to report findings and progress over time.

  1. Build strategic collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to plan and implement quality

assurance activities.

  1. Deliver high calibre assessment and monitoring of internal and external services to provide objective advice about service

delivery quality, and legislative compliance to inform opportunities for continuous quality improvement.

5. Prepare timely, high quality, objective reports and products that provide evidence-based findings to inform risk

assessment, risk mitigation and strategies to achieve continuous quality improvement.

  1. Identify strategic, measurable, achievable, realistic and timely solutions to address quality assurance findings where

improvements need to be made.

Selection criteria

Essential

1. Substantial demonstrated experience in management and leadership in the development of a workplace culture that

empowers and enables people to deliver quality customer experiences and captures client voice to inform continuous

quality improvement.

  1. Advanced project management and organisational skills, the ability to plan strategically, manage workloads and prioritise

tasks for self and team to deliver quality products within deadlines.

  1. Highly developed assessment, investigative, data analysis, research and problem-solving skills, in particular to the delivery

of quality assurance and auditing functions, with demonstrated experience acquiring and synthesising information to

deliver high calibre, objective advice and products based on sound analysis and analytical judgement.

  1. Experience working within a legislative framework, the ability to conduct evidence-based research to develop practice

and performance standards to assess service delivery quality.

  1. Demonstrated exemplary professional conduct, high level written, oral communication, organisational and interpersonal

skills and ability to interact, negotiate and work effectively with people from diverse cultures.

  1. A current Working with Children Clearance (Ochre card), ability to pass a National Criminal History Check, a current NT

Drivers licence and an ability to travel to all regional areas across the Northern Territory.

1. Tertiary qualifications relevant to the role

2. Formal training in project management and governance frameworks.
