About the role

Studco Building Systems is seeking an experienced Logistics Team Leader to join our Croydon-based team on the afternoon shift. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for leading a team of forklift operators to ensure the efficient and safe movement of materials and products in our busy warehousing and distribution facility.

What you'll be doing

  • Supervise and coordinate a small team of skilled forklift operators to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
  • Provide guidance, training and support to team members to maintain high standards of safety and productivity.
  • Operate a forklift to load, unload and move materials and products as needed.
  • Oversee inventory management and organisation of the warehouse to optimise storage and workflow.
  • Monitor team performance and provide feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations.
  • Liaise with other departments to coordinate logistics and address any issues.

What we're looking for

  • Forklift experience, with a demonstrated track record of leading and motivating a team. Experience with ugly freight a definite advantage.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and collaborate with your team.
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and warehouse operations.
