Experienced and motivated Chef to join our team at Pino's Vino e Cucina al Mare Cronulla

Our menu uses traditional Italian produce put together with a little panache', it is designed to be shared. Small and large groups celebrate birthdays, homecomings, Christmas parties and corporate functions at our long table, where share plates are passed around and no-one is forgotten.

About the role

You will play an integral role within the kitchen team.

To be the successful candidate you will assume responsibility for the effective, efficient and profitable management of dining at this venue by assisting the Head Chef in all areas. The Chef will be a 'hands on, experienced, motivated individual, who has passion for food, people and ownership of their role.

· Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to cultivate strong relationships in a team-based environment.

· Ability to plan menus for different cultural/dietary requirements

· Able to work full-time

· Must be fluent in English

Responsibilities:

Assist Head Chef to provide full menu execution support with standard recipes for the kitchen,

preparation procedures, cost and service procedures for the Cost Controller.

Assist reviewing food cost related matters in your section and advise on possible areas where

improved costs or improved quality is achievable to the Head Chef.

Ensure all new menu items in your section, specials and recipes are fully, tested and

approved by Head Chef before implementation.

Ensure all menu items, including Daily Black Board Menu and Specials are totally consistent

with approved portion control, food style and pricing structure.

Work closely with Head Chef to meet deadlines for menu changes.

Maintain the documented ordering system to ensure the full menu is available at all times.

Recommend new menu items based on concept and concept compatibility to the Head Chef.

Assist the Head Chef to Maximise profitable food revenue

Assist with the management and training of junior staff
