The opportunity

Boeing Defence Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Fleet Liaison Specialist to join our Operations Team on the Air Combat and Electronic Attack Sustainment Program (ACEASP) for the F/A-18F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler platforms.

In this pivotal, fast-paced role you will act as the primary communications hub for fleet activity, resolving real-time challenges, driving timely decisions and orchestrating seamless coordination across operations, engineering and logistics to ensure aircraft remain mission-ready. You will proactively engage stakeholders at all levels, align customer priorities with resource allocation, and apply strategic judgement and meticulous attention to detail to enhance fleet availability, readiness and resilience. Success requires exceptional stakeholder management, a solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to perform under pressure while delivering measurable improvements to fleet capability.

If you are motivated by high-impact work and tangible outcomes, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape operational effectiveness for the RAAF.

This role is based at RAAF Base Amberley

As the Fleet Liaison your responsibilities will include the strong ability to:

  • Act as the primary communications conduit between RAAF Squadrons, ACEASP teams, engineering, logistics, operations and contractors to coordinate fleet activity and status.
  • Triage and resolve real time operational issues, escalate appropriately and enable rapid decision making to minimise mission impact.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement, conduct briefings and maintain strong working relationships across the RAAF, industry and contractor partners.
  • Monitor fleet availability and readiness metrics, identify shortfalls and drive timely remedial actions to maximise aircraft serviceability.
  • Monitor all scheduled/unscheduled arisings effecting F/A-18F and EA-18G fleet availability in support of Enterprise outcomes
  • Deliver excellent stakeholder management and written/verbal communication skills, including executive-level briefings.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in fleet sustainment, aircraft maintenance coordination, or operational support for fast-jet platforms (preferably F/A-18/EA-18G or similar).
  • Comprehensive understanding Defence Aviation Regulatory framework
  • Experience managing real-time operational issues, prioritisation and escalation to meet mission requirements.
  • Working knowledge and technical experience within Part 145 and CAMO environments
  • Experience communicating complex technical and operational information to senior leadership and briefings at executive levels.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, logistics, project management or a related discipline preferred.

Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
