Ngarrindjeri Aboriginal Corporation (NAC) is seeking a passionate and experienced Ranger Program Coordinator to lead the Yarluwar-Ruwe Ranger Program. This is an exciting opportunity to work on Country, supporting the protection and management of Ngarrindjeri lands, waters, culture and heritage, while mentoring and guiding a team of Rangers.
About Ngarrindjeri Aboriginal CorporationNAC represents the Ngarrindjeri Traditional Owners and Native Title holders in South Australia. The team are dedicated to strengthening, protecting, and managing Ngarrindjeri culture, heritage, lands, and waters, and ensuring that the voices of Ngarrindjeri Elders, knowledge holders and community continue to guide their work.
About the RoleThe Ranger Program Coordinator will:
- Provide leadership, support, and mentoring to the Ranger team.
- Work closely with Elders, Directors, and senior knowledge holders to ensure Country, culture, and people are respected and cared for.
- Plan, coordinate and oversee on-Country activities including fire and weed management, cultural site protection, biodiversity monitoring, and visitor engagement.
- Ensure safe work practices and maintain equipment and vehicles.
- Build and maintain partnerships with government, councils, and community organisations.
- Deliver on program plans, budgets and reporting requirements.
This is a full-time position, subject to funding and satisfactory performance.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- Demonstrated leadership and coordination experience, ideally in land management, conservation or community development.
- Strong understanding of Aboriginal communities, cultural protocols and ability to work respectfully with Elders and Traditional Owners.
- Qualifications and/or experience in education, youth or social work, environmental science, training & assessment, or community development.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage across community, government and partner organisations.
- Experience in project planning, reporting and managing resources.
- Practical skills and/or experience in ranger, land management or environmental work.
- A current driver's licence, willingness to travel, and ability to work on-Country.

- Salary range of $84,000 - $93,000 + super.
