Your Choice is a fast-growing team looking after NDIS participants & their families in Karratha & across the wider West Pilbara. Our leadership has been involved in the NDIS since it's inception in 2013. We're strong advocates for the rights of people with disability, & love that we can make such huge differences in people's lives every day we go to work.

About the job

This role will require you to live in the Pilbara. We can't help you with accommodation or moving expenses, & we can not offer support for working visas. It is a contractor role (not salary), paying hourly rates weekly.

We have positions available in & around Hedland, Wickham, Roebourne, Karratha, Tom Price & Onslow.

Qualifications & experience

  • Provide First Aid including CPR.
  • Drivers license & your own insured car.
  • Police clearance (Working With Children check is advantageous).
  • If you have honesty, integrity, & a caring nature, no other experience is necessary.
  • If you have higher, industry-related qualifications, you are encouraged to apply to discuss your options.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Supporting disabled adults & children with daily living activities in their homes: It might be doing a load of laundry, preparing a meal, doing some dishes or general domestic cleaning. For some it might require a teaching or mentoring role, helping participants to develop skills so they can build their independence. For daily living services, most people need similar help every day.
  • Helping people get to & from appointments or social activities. It might be to the doctor, the post office, to a therapist, down to the shops, or out to the beach for some fishing. For social & community participation, clients will often be looking to do something different each service.
