Flourish Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Groups and Engagement Coordinator to join our services in Northern Adelaide

The position available is:

  • Ongoing part-time (30.4 hours/fortnight)
  • Based in Salisbury
  • Working a rotating roster based on the needs of the service including weekdays and weekends
  • Attractive salarystarting at $88k per annum (pro-rata) + Super + Tax-Free Salary Packaging.
About the Opportunity

As a Groups and Engagement Coordinator, you will work closely with frontline staff, partner organisations and other external stakeholders to enhance the social group projects and initiatives delivered to people accessing the service to build their capacity and independence. You will deliver and co-facilitate group programs and workshops on relevant topics, develop and maintain partnerships to increase the group program offerings, and develop strategies to increase attendance and awareness of social support groups and other initiatives.

Who we are looking for

To be successful for this role, you will be required to:

  • Have completed tertiary qualifications in human services or a relevant Certificate IV in mental health related discipline
  • Have extensive experience in facilitation, development, delivery and evaluation of group learning activities.
  • Use your experience in community engagement and health promotion, to be able to build effective relationships with other service providers.
  • Demonstrate your understanding of the challenges faced by people with a lived experience of a mental health issue and how providing a recovery-oriented service is of benefit to people.
  • Have a good understanding of public sector and community-based service systems relevant to people with a lived experience of a mental health issue and demonstrated experience navigating such systems and using capacity building and education to achieve positive results.
  • Possess a current unrestricted Australian drivers' licence.
