What you'll do

The purpose of this role is to Analyse, Document and lead the implementation of new and updated integrations in the Queensland Health Enterprise Integration Platform (EIP), while ensuring compliance with enterprise workflow, design, documentation, coding, testing and deployment standards.

The role will require you to lead the analysis and implementation process and deliver major components of interface delivery, including:

  • Participate in workshops, analyse integration requirements to meet business requirements, advise customers and vendors in achieving required outcomes
  • Author EIP standard Interface Software Requirements Specifications (ISRS) documents
  • Adhere to EIP standard patterns; develop solutions in the EIP Rhapsody integration engine that will deliver operationally supportable message delivery, noting that some exception handling/alerting may be required.
  • Assist and advise in acceptance testing of delivered interfacing, in some cases requiring end-to-end testing arranged via client business area.
  • Meet requirements for delivery of these products – including (but not limited to): Completion of Jira and Confluence artefacts, design documentation and code reviews, time logging on deliverables, regular status reporting to the Manager, System Integration (Delivery).
  • Be responsible for managing transition to operations, ensuring agreed processes are followed and handover ensures long term supportability/maintainability
  • Actively participate in EIP Continuous Improvement activities including offering improvement ideas, participating in review processes (Document, Development & Delivery)
  • Building on your extensive HL7 (mainly v2) experience; stay current with contemporary integration technologies (e.g. HL7 FHIR) and associated requirements such as REST, XML, JSON etc

About you

  • Technical skills and the ability to provide expert technical direction, standardisation and support of the enterprise infrastructure (HL7, interfacing, SOAP, REST, XML, JSON, Java/Javascript, Rhapsody, Enterprise Middleware
  • Expert ability to analyse IT system issues and successfully document implementable solutions
  • Ability to develop, implement and ensure compliance to technical policies, standards and procedures at an enterprise level
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with key internal/external project stakeholders and external application vendors in order to deliver the required healthcare outcomes
  • Experience in leading complex work packages and mentoring and coordinating a team
  • High level interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies
