As we continue to build our teams into an anticipated successful growth period, we are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to join our existing Global Support Head Office in Spring Hill, Brisbane. We are open to exploring both the national and international candidate market, with relocation and business sponsorship on offer for the right candidate.

Who are we seeking:

Principal Power System Engineers
with demonstrated experienced in:

  • Transmission network planning and operations
  • Power transmission and distribution
  • National Electricity Market (NEM) and WA Wholesale Energy Market, including generator connection processes, performance standards and R1 R2 testing procedures and commissioning
  • Proficiency in PSSE and /or PSCAD and/or DIgSILENT, PowerFactory
  • Technical, commercial and financial considerations of engineering consultancy
  • The power development lifecycle
  • Conventional and renewable energy generation and battery storage systems, including experience with both physical and modelling for power plants
  • Possess strong communication skills, coupled by an approachable work style to support a positive and balanced mentoring relationship with less experienced Engineers

Essential requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Power System Studies and Power Systems
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Experience with project management and delivery of successful outcomes
  • Hold or have the ability to attain local Professional Registrations/ Certification
