Lakeview Private Hospital (LPH) is an established multidisciplinary private hospital located at Bella Vista, Sydney. An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated and experienced Endoscopy nurse to work in either a Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) role or Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS).

The CNE role is 2 days per week, so if candidates apply for this role they can upgrade hours in a CNS (or RN) capacity.

We have both full time and part time roles availble.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage mandatory education and orientation programs for a busy Endoscopy department.
  • Provide clinical support and ongoing education to nurses.
  • Conduct nurse assessments using clinical competencies and maintain the department's training register.
  • Participate in the clinical development, review, and evaluation of nursing practices and competencies.
  • Assist in policy and procedure development.
  • Promote best practices through staff development and education.
  • Identify in-service education needs and collaborate with educators and managers to address them.

Requirements:

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Essential: Experience in Endoscopy.
  • Previous experience as a CNE, CNS, or similar role, or demonstrated experience in nurse competency training.
  • Desirable: Accreditation in the Advanced Life Support program.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to quality, best practices, and environmental safety.
  • Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently.
  • Strong organizational skills.

In summary this means you will need to demonstrate immunity against TB, Measles, Diphtheria, Pertussis, Hepatitis B, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus and the Mumps.
