What you will be doing

This senior sales role is responsible for growing the business through implementing ongoing sales activities focused on securing new business and increasing volume with Bunnings and Independent Hardware Stores, while also providing support to the Queensland Sales Manager and QLD sales team with sales planning, analysis, execution and coaching.

The role covers both Southeast Queensland (SEQ) and Far North Queensland (FNQ), with occasional travel required across these regions, as well as occasional interstate travel when needed.

You'll take ownership of your territory and play a key role in:

  • Driving sales and margin performance of your own territory through business development and merchandising.
  • Supporting the Sales Manager and QLD sales team with implementing sales plans, promotions, and new product launches.
  • Optimise CRM and call cycle management to plan effectively and improve results.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in data analysis to inform planning and identify potential business opportunities.
  • Foster strong relationships with key customer decision makers through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Providing in store support and coaching to Sales Representatives and Merchandisers.
  • Merchandising stores to ensure optimal product placement and positioning.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Proven success in a sales, business development, or leadership role.
  • Enthusiasm for sales with strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Confidence in using CRM and data reporting tools to guide decision making.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills.
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to support the Sales Manager and contribute to the success of the QLD team.
  • A willingness to share knowledge, coach others, and provide in store support when needed.
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally across SEQ, FNQ, and interstate when required.
  • Hardware or Bunnings experience (desirable but not essential).
