About the Role

  • As Manager Childcare Services (Centre Manager), you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our centre. Your leadership will ensure that every child feels inspired, valued, and supported in a safe and enriching environment.
  • Create a culture of excellence, teamwork, and professional growth across the educator team.
  • Mentor and coach the future second-in-charge (2IC) as part of our succession strategy.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations including budgeting, enrolment management, staffing, and compliance.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality programs aligned with the EYLF and the National Quality Standard (NQS).
  • Develop strategies to boost occupancy and strengthen the centre's reputation in the local community.
  • Build meaningful connections with families, staff, and the broader community.
  • Create an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and nurtures every child's unique potential.
  • Lead community engagement through events and initiatives that reflect the centre's values.

About You

You are a confident and caring leader, with the professional experience and personal qualities to lead in a remote or regional environment. You are solutions-focused, resilient, and ready to make a lasting difference.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent); a Bachelor's degree is highly regarded.
  • Minimum two years' experience in a Centre Manager/Director role, preferably in regional or remote settings.
  • A strong understanding of the EYLF, NQS, and all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated success in supporting or rebuilding teams through change or adversity.
  • Outstanding communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) and First Aid Certificate.
  • Willingness to undergo psychometric testing prior to appointment.

Contract Terms

  • Initial Term: 2 years
  • Extension: Opportunity for a further 2 years, subject to mutual agreement
  • Location: Normanton, Queensland
