About Us

Gulf Containers for Change is an initiative of the Gkuthaarn and Kukatj Aboriginal Corporation (GKAC), a not-for-profit dedicated to creating meaningful work and environmental responsibility across the Gulf of Carpentaria.

Based in Normanton, C4C delivers the Containers for Change program, helping locals recycle, earn refunds, and protect Country.

About the Role

As Manager, you'll oversee daily operations, lead a small team, and ensure the site runs safely and efficiently. You'll coordinate logistics, maintain compliance with Container Exchange (COEX) standards, and keep the business running smoothly.

You'll be responsible for:

· Managing staff rosters, training, and performance

· Overseeing container collection, sorting, and processing

· Coordinating logistics, dispatch, and customer service

· Maintaining compliance, records, reports, and WHS standards

About You

We're looking for someone who's practical, reliable, and community focused.  You'll bring:

· Experience in operations, logistics, or small business management

· Proven leadership and problem-solving skills

· A commitment to safety, teamwork, and accountability

· A current Driver's Licence and ability to work independently

Experience in recycling, waste management, or working in remote communities would be an advantage.
