The Opportunity
Reporting to the General Counsel, you will serve as the legal subject matter expert on capital works and construction projects nationwide. The role spans the entire project lifecycle—tendering through delivery—and includes support during business transformation.

Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end legal support for capex and construction projects.
- Draft, review, and negotiate D&C and equipment installation agreements.
- Advise on contract management, variations, disputes, and enforcement.
- Support contract training and governance initiatives across project teams.
- Contribute to transformation projects and integration-related legal matters.
- Manage external counsel for complex issues.
- Liaise with a broad range of stakeholders across legal, engineering, procurement, and commercial functions.
Requirements
- Law degree and an Australian Practising Certificate (or eligibility).
- 8+ years' PQE in front-end construction law, ideally including in-house exposure.
- Expertise in D&C contracts, equipment supply/installation, and construction projects.
- Strong commercial acumen and risk management capabilities.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Comfortable operating independently while contributing to team goals.
