The Law Society of NSW is Australia's largest and most influential membership association for solicitors. We're not all lawyers, but we work together to support the legal profession and ensure a just society for all.

We are currently looking for a full time fixed term Coordinator (parental leave backfill for 14 months) to join our Insights and Engagement team.

About the role

The Coordinator, Students & Early Career Lawyers is responsible for providing organisational and administrative support for the Law Society of NSW Students & Early Career Lawyers team.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintaining and organising the NSW Young Lawyers event and social calendars.
  • Coordinating meeting and event communications, invitations and bookings.
  • Assisting with the execution of NSW Young Lawyers meetings both in person and via online platforms.
  • Assisting with the coordination and execution of NSW Young Lawyers and student events and resources.
  • Assisting with the management of the multiple social media channels for both NSW Young Lawyers and Student Services.
  • Assisting with the maintenance and updating of NSW Young Lawyers and Student Services documents, resources and online webpages as required.
  • Responding to general queries received by phone and email through the NSW Young Lawyers and Student Services channels.
  • Assisting with student member communications and the maintenance of the student member database and contact information.
  • Maintaining and updating contact information and databases for NSW Young Lawyers volunteers and external bodies as appropriate.
  • Monitoring and coordinating all relevant collateral.
  • Maintaining digital files and folders and collating statistical data on events and meetings to assist with reporting.
  • Creating the necessary portals for and running NSW Young Lawyers Sub-Committee elections.

  • Previous (1-2 years) administration experience preferable.

  • Good organisation, planning, and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proof reading.

  • Demonstrated computer skills, including strong competency using the Microsoft stack of applications and general proficiency using other data and processing applications.
