Job Description
An exciting opportunity has opened for a skilled Legal Team Assistant to join our high-performing Legal team Reporting to the General Counsel & Company Secretary, you will play a key role in supporting our team of legal professionals.
Day to day you will:
- Support the work of the Nine legal team
- Coordinate diary management and make travel arrangements for the General Counsel and some legal team members
- Monitor and triage incoming emails of the generic legal inbox
- Coordinate training and other meetings with internal business units
- Be a point of contact for external law firms and other bodies
- Triage pre-publication legal requests, manage the flow of work within the editorial lawyers
- Accept subpoenas and co-ordinate responses
- Prepare summaries, outlines, briefing notes and other helpful documents
- Manage the invoice coding/process and expense management for the legal team
- Arrange settlement documents and signatures
Qualifications
What you'll bring:
- Demonstrated experience as an Executive Assistant/Personal Assistant
- Proven experience working with Microsoft and Google Suite
- Ability to maintain a strict level of confidentiality
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Experience in the media industry is ideal but not essential
- Knowledge of finance/payments systems is ideal but not essential
