KX Pilates is seeking an experienced Senior Graphic Designer to join the marketing team for a 12 month contract. ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Marketing Campaigns Manager and Head of Marketing, as the Senior Graphic Designer, you will lead the design team, overseeing the brand and creative strategy across a diverse range of projects that adhere to key principles of design, UX and accessibility.
From the concept stages to final execution of campaigns, to creative projects, you will be responsible for the visual execution of the KX brand, evolving it as required for expansion of the business, both nationally and internationally and ensure that all creative output meets the highest standards.
As our Senior Graphic Designer, you will work closely with the Marketing Campaigns Manager to give life to our schedule of marketing activities and campaigns, managing and mentoring the junior designer to ensure successful delivery of creative requests that resonate with our audience and supports commercial business objectives.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the creative vision for all campaigns and external HQ projects, maintaining KX brand consistency, visual language and conceptual direction across national, local area marketing and international, including graphic and digital design assets.
- Oversee the execution of the KX brand across all touch points, acting as brand custodian to maintain the highest standards.
- Creative operation and leadership, including inspiring and mentoring our junior designer, managing timelines, workflow management and feedback loops to ensure successful delivery of all projects.
- Apply basic animation and motion design skills to bring campaigns to life across digital and social.
- Build responsive email campaigns that drive engagement and align with brand standards, HTML and CSS knowledge favoured.
- Website and digital maintenance, ensuring all web touchpoints remain current, functional and on-brand.
- Execute branding updates across all platforms and materials, implementing brand evolution and maintaining consistency throughout the network.
- Provide studio signage support and creative assistance for the 100+ studio network, delivering exceptional service to franchise partners.
- Collaborate with external agencies and suppliers for creative needs and managing relationships
- Execute ad-hoc requests from HQ and the franchise network in a timely manner, including internal brand communications
- Prepare and present creative concepts and strategy, articulating design rationale, managing feedback processes and facilitating clear communication across all levels
- Collaboration and contribution within the marketing team to develop national campaign strategy and integrated through-the-line activities
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years experience in a senior graphic design or creative management role
- Experience working in a fast-paced design studio, agency environment, or in-house creative team
- Team leadership experience with the ability to mentor and manage a junior designer
SKILLS
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
- Strong portfolio showcasing brand, digital, and campaign work across multiple mediums
- Knowledge of print layout, pre-press, and finished art processes
- Strong HTML/CSS knowledge for eDMs and web updates
- Robust understanding of web standards, UX principles, and digital design best practices
- Excellent conceptualisation skills with ability to follow briefs and provide design rationales
- Experience in art directing photoshoots and video content with internal and external partners
- Knowledge in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Jitter or animation skills
- Experience with Figma and Canva
- Knowledge of proofing devices and print/web colour management
- WordPress or CMS knowledge
- Experience with Atlassian/Jira or similar project management platforms
- Experience or exposure to franchise businesses advantageous
- Understanding of the latest design industry trends
