Role Description
The Research Assistant supports projects by gathering, organizing, and analyzing information that contributes to data-driven insights, reports, and strategic decision-making. This role involves conducting literature reviews, compiling datasets, preparing summaries, and ensuring that research materials are accurate, well-documented, and delivered within project timelines. The Research Assistant works closely with analysts, project leads, and cross-functional teams to support ongoing studies, evaluations, and research initiatives.
Core responsibilities include collecting information from primary and secondary sources, reviewing documents, identifying key themes, and synthesizing complex materials into clear, concise findings. The Research Assistant may assist with preparing reports, drafting research notes, creating presentations, and maintaining structured project documentation. Additional tasks may involve data cleaning, basic statistical analysis, creating charts or tables, and helping manage databases used for research purposes.
The role often requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders, external partners, or subject-matter experts, depending on the nature of the research. Strong attention to detail is critical, as the Research Assistant ensures accuracy when handling data, verifying sources, and documenting methodologies. The position may also include helping coordinate project activities, tracking progress, and supporting the preparation of deliverables for meetings or presentations.
This position offers exposure to research methodologies, data interpretation, and the end-to-end process of producing high-quality analytical work. It is an excellent foundation for future roles in research analysis, consulting, project coordination, policy analysis, academic research, or industry-specific research functions. Success in this role requires curiosity, organization, critical thinking, and the ability to adapt to evolving project needs in a fast-paced environment.
