About the role

This position provides technical and administrative operational support to support research activities as part of a multidisciplinary team.Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the researcher and for the project plan, timelines, ethics and governance, data collection, deliverables, reporting and overall governance.
  • Provide support for the coordination of project team activities (including meetings and other communications) in line with project timelines and deliverables.
  • Provide support to the design, dissemination, and analysis of relevant research projects.
  • Conduct field work and provide research support as required.
  • Undertake data entry, maintain spreadsheets, manage correspondence, prepare presentations, collate data for reports and under direction prepare a range of written communication.
  • Undertake literature searches, liaise with participating GPs/GP practices, and provide technical support to GP practices.
  • Coordinate and take minutes in meetings between researchers and external partners.
Qualifications, skills & experience
  • A Diploma level qualification with relevant work-related experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience /education /training.
  • Demonstrated experience in health research and the ability to exercise initiative and work independently under broad direction.
  • Demonstrated ability to carry out specified research tasks accurately with strong attention to detail and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated high-level oral and written communication skills, including the ability to maintain accurate records and contribute to the preparation of research reports and publications.
  • Demonstrated high-level organisation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively in a team and autonomously when required.
  • Highly developed organisational skills, with the demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proven capacity to work both independently and as a collaborative team member.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent computer skills including email, internet, MS Office suite and the ability to learn and implement new systems.
