Sheetmetal Tradesperson – Afternoon Shift

Location: Brisbane, Australia (Northgate)

Position: Full-time, Monday to Friday 2pm to 10.15pm (38 hours per week; shift loading

paid)

Salary: $76,600 to $80,000 pending experience

Industry: Sheetmetal Manufacturing

We are a leading sheet metal manufacturing company in Brisbane, and we're looking for a

dedicated Sheetmetal Tradesperson to join our team for the afternoon shift (2:00 PM –

10:15 PM). If you have a passion for sheetmetal and want to be part of a dynamic, growing

Key Responsibilities:

 Fabricating and assembling sheet metal products

 Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints & specifications

 TIG / MIG Welding (Light gauge experience advantageous)

 Polishing Stainless Steel / working with stainless steel and aluminium

 Cut, bend and shape metal materials using hand tools, power tools and machinery

 Operating a variety of machinery, including CNC machines and press brakes

 Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines

 Ensuring quality control standards are met

 Adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines

Skills & Experience:

 Certificate III or equivalent qualification or 3 years work experience in lieu of

qualification. Previous experience in metal fabrication is required of at least one year

with a Qualification (Cert III – Engineering – Fabrication)

 Experience in the fabrication of rainwater goods (rainwater heads, sumps) highly

advantageous

 Strong attention to detail and quality

 Good communication and teamwork skills

 Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
