PRO FAB & INSTALLATIONS PTY LTD, based in South-East QLD, supports industry across Australia with the fabrication of pipe spooling, pressure vessels, silos, chutes, hoppers, tanks, walkways, gangways and structural items to relevant Australian standards and codes.

About the role

Due to continuing growth, we are seeking an additional Metal Fabricator to join our Kingston team.

Required qualifications & experience

  • AQF Certificate III (or equivalent) and at least 2 years of post-trade, relevant experience; or
  • AQF Certificate IV relevant to the position.
  • Ability to read/interpret drawings and specifications, and work to company standards/codes.

Key duties

  • Interpret drawings/specifications to determine job requirements.
  • Prepare base metals; shape and bend plate, section and pipe using hand and machine tools (including heat/hammer processes).
  • Join metal sections by welding (e.g., FCAW/GMAW/GTAW as applicable) and bolting.
  • Finish products by cleaning, polishing and/or riveting; perform filing, chiselling and grinding to required tolerances.
  • Verify work meets dimensional/quality requirements and applicable codes/standards; complete QA documentation as required.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, senior management and external stakeholders to ensure project outcomes.

  • Annual salary: $82, super
  • Standard hours: 38 per week, plus reasonable overtime as required.
