Position Title: Front of House & Kitchen Assistant

Reports To: Store Manager / Director

Role Overview: As a Front of House & Kitchen Assistant, you'll play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of Ace Acai. You'll greet and serve customers, prepare delicious açai bowls, desserts, and juices, and keep our space sparkling clean. In the kitchen, you'll support food prep by cutting fruit, preparing sauces, and maintaining a safe and hygienic workspace.

Key Responsibilities

Front of House:

  • Greet and serve customers with excellent customer service.

  • Operate the Square POS system for orders and payments.

  • Prepare and serve açai bowls, desserts, and fresh juices to our quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and inviting customer space, including wiping tables, clearing dishes, and general tidiness.
  • Assist with restocking front-of-house supplies as needed.

Kitchen:

  • Wash, cut, and prepare fresh fruit and toppings.
  • Prepare açai and sauces according to set recipes.
  • Maintain kitchen hygiene by cleaning equipment, benches, and dishes.
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Support the smooth flow of orders during busy service times.

  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Attention to detail with food presentation and cleanliness.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to different tasks.

Requirements:

  • Previous hospitality experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Weekend and evening availability.
  • Must be reliable and punctual.
  • Food safety knowledge is a plus (training provided if required).
