Hays Technology are currently partnered with a well-established state government to appoint an experienced Technical Team Lead.

Your new role

You will spearhead and nurture their Full Stack engineering team's growth, across systems' architecture, design, and execution. Your core mission will revolve around crafting intuitive, captivating, and seamlessly fluid user experiences, harnessing the power of cutting-edge frameworks like React, GraphQL and
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the charge in steering the Full Stack engineering team towards the creation of ground-breaking consumer-centric web and backend platforms and applications.
  • Architect and conceptualise scalable and high-performance structures using React, GraphQL, and Java.
  • Pioneer the establishment of top-tier practices for code excellence, security, testing, and performance and championing continuous enhancement.
  • Act as a mentor and coach to engineers, imparting technical wisdom and best practices.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with product, design, and engineering teams.
  • Articulate technical design considerations and solutions to our valued business partners.
  • Engage actively in every facet of agile software development, from design to implementation and deployment.
  • Provide guidance and insights on constructing end-to-end systems meticulously optimised for speed and scalability.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A solid track record with over 5 years of Full Stack development experience, showcasing in-depth proficiency in Full-stack React, GraphQL, and Java development
  • Demonstrated high-level experience and skills in constructing intricate frontend applications and workflows, including working with UI libraries and design systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise and knowledge of working in an agile and DevSecOps environment with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.
    • Cloud technologies on AWS and equivalent, such as Azure, GCP. Containers and Serverless deployment platforms
    • CI/CD, automation through GitHub Actions for deployment to AWS
    • JIRA, Confluence and GitHub

What you'll get in return

You will be offered a good daily rate, and the opportunity to work in their Brisbane CBD location for 2 days' WFH. The contract is up to end of November with the possibility to extend.
