Dog Daycare Assistant Manager (up to 55k)

Casual Position, up to 5 days per week, includes a short shift some Saturdays shared between the team.  We will consider Full time and Part time applicants

Join our bright upbeat team at Madame Ma's Doggie Daycare, Training and Grooming Centre.  We have a bustling, joyful venue in West Perth where we welcome and take care of the most beautiful, lovable dogs imaginable.  We have great employees who work together harmoniously. Our environment suits self-motivated workers who enjoy a positive environment where we help each other and each person takes charge of their own day.

It's not enough to just "love" animals, you must also have experience in customer service and taking care of groups of dogs.

Essential pre-requisites for the role are:

-Teamwork – You must be able to work in a team environment, one where all staff members are respectful, communicate well and are able to depend on each other

-Communication & Customer Service – Must have sound customer service experience along with exceptional communication skills

-Physical ability – This role is physically demanding, must have a "can do" attitude and be prepared to work hands-on.

-Time management - The position is fast paced and requires everyone to be able to manage their time and priorities to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner

-Extensive canine behavioural knowledge

-Must be comfortable with handling multiple dogs with varying sizes and temperaments 

Desirable skills and experience include:

-Professional experience or qualifications working with groups of dogs preferably doggy day care (this does not include caring for your dog at home) 

-Basic dog training experience or dog bathing experience

-Fit and able to move quickly and handle groups of dogs including large breeds

-Basic photography and video creation skills for the creation of social media content

-Animal husbandry 

-Strong understanding of reading & understanding dog behaviour

-Knowledge of cleaning and infection control procedures

-Excellent face to face and written communication skills

-Ability or scope to learn booking programs and MS Office

-Aptitude for training and learning

-Ability to perform unsupervised as well as part of a team
