The Islamic College of Melbourne is a co-educational independent school, located in Tarneit and currently offers Foundation to Year 12.

​Our College is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate candidate to join our team as an Personal Assistant to Leadership.

Appropriate rigorous reference and background checking will be undertaken for all applicants.

Administration duties will include:

  • Responding to phone and office enquiries from parents, teachers and visitors to the college
  • Assisting with filing and maintaining accurate school records
  • Preparing items for mailing and posting them
  • Plans, schedules, and performs a variety of secretarial and clerical work
  • Performs administrative support that involves applying a working understanding of the functions and procedures of the school
  • Coordinates and schedules meetings as directed. Prepares schedules and informs participants, confirming dates and times
  • Coordinates and performs the administrative aspects of school events
  • Organise and manage business schedules, travel arrangements (local and overseas), and events (internal meetings, planning sessions, Board workshops).
  • Prepare Board papers, meeting agendas, and governance-related documentation.
  • Act as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing a professional and welcoming interface.
  • Other administration duties as requested by the Leadership.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • First Aid Qualifications and experience is an advantage
  • Experience with Windows software, especially Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently but more importantly participate effectively as part of a team
  • 1 to 2 year experience in a similar role
  • Experience in Synergetic software is an advantage​
