Ideal Stone commenced business over 18 years ago and in that time has grown to become one of the leading SA stone bench top companies. Located near the city at Forestville, Ideal Stone manufactures kitchen bench tops, vanity tops, commercial counters/bars etc in engineered stone products such as Caesarstone or Stone Ambassador, Dekton, Porcelain and natural stones such as granite and marble. Ideal Stone services a wide range of domestic, builder and commercial customers with state-of-the-art Intermac and CMS CNCs, CMS Waterjets and a Burkhardt high production bridge saw.

An opportunity has become available for a full-time fabricator/installer. Monday to Friday with some overtime as required

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Manufacturing of stone benchtops and other factory duties.

  • Installation of domestic and commercial stone work, including kitchen bench tops, commercial  counters, vanity bench tops etc.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Current forklift license (or willing to get one)
  • White card (or willing to get one)
  • Current car license
  • Will be fit, energetic, enthusiastic and reliable
  • Will be a team player
  • Able to learn / adapt to changes and new work practices
  • Able to use power tools and associated stone machinery
  • Self motivated and able to work independently with excellent time management and problem solving skills

This position would suit a person looking to get into a manufacturing environment, in a general varied role with on-site installation work. Persons with cabinetmaking, general building or other trade experience will be preferred.

An hourly rate will be negotiated with the successful person depending on skills and experience.
