Job Opportunity: Metal Fabricator & Farm Hand

Nicol Carrots is a well-established business known for its commitment to high-quality produce and exceptional customer service. We're currently seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team in a dual role as a Metal Fabricator and Farm Hand. This position offers variety, with the primary focus on metal fabrication, along with opportunities to support our farm operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welding & Repairs: Maintain, repair, and re-condition machinery essential to the production line.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Diagnose malfunctions, perform repairs, and replace parts such as motors and belts.
  • Fabrication: Design and build new equipment to enhance production.
  • Emergency Support: Respond to breakdowns and maintenance issues on both production line and farm equipment.
  • Farm Operations: Assist with irrigation system installation, maintenance, and repairs. Operate farm machinery like tractors.
  • General Tasks: Perform additional duties as requested by management, ensuring equipment is kept in top condition and adhering to quality and safety standards.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: Previous experience with production machinery maintenance/metal fabrication is preferred.
  • Licensing: A valid driver's license is essential. Forklift and MR licenses are a plus.
  • Skills: Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and handle a variety of tasks.
  • Farm Knowledge: Experience or interest in farming machinery and operations is an advantage.
  • Availability: Must be available for Saturday shifts.
