Position overview
The School Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the School, working closely with the School's Executive and the College of Science and Medicine Executive to deliver outcomes that progress the School's, College's and University's vision for excellence in research and education.
The Person
We are looking for;
- A strategic thinker, with a track record of developing and maintaining strong relationships.
- A collaborative team member with proven expertise in leading an administrative team in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in the preparation of briefings, information papers, budget and other reports.
- Project management and/or business process improvement experience, with an ability to partner with colleagues to overcome complex matters in short timeframes.
- Knowledge and/or experience in the contemporary challenges facing the higher education sector.

The School Manager position will join the John Curtin School of Medical Research (JCSMR) are renowned for pioneering medical breakthroughs. With a legacy of three Nobel Laureates and a league of exceptional researchers, the School focus is collaborative, innovative research tackling diseases that encompass cancer, infectious diseases and neurological conditions using our expertise in neuroscience, genomics, immunology, and cancer discovery science.
