ausbiz is Australia's only continuous live-streaming network dedicated to business and markets, delivering an independent and balanced perspective. We produce business, finance and investing content across two studios, interviewing up to 30 expert guests every day.

About the Role

This is a full-time on-site role for a Studio Assistant, located in Barangaroo (Sydney). You will work across the day-to-day operations of both studios, ensuring high-quality live and pre-recorded output. You'll be required to fulfil some of these tasks as part of the role:

  • Assist and when necessary lead in the video production and delivery process for a 24/hr live streaming OTT media channel.

  • Collaborate with the editorial, content and production teams to ensure the technical requirements for video production are met.

  • Create/edit content using Premiere Pro and After Effects.

  • Conduct technical testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve equipment and software issues.

  • Assist with the maintenance of existing and new video equipment such as cameras, switchers, encoders, and decoders.

  • Monitor video streams to ensure high-quality video and audio are being transmitted correctly.

  • Maintain knowledge of new video technologies, software and trends.

About You

  • Degree or other qualification in video production, broadcasting, or related field.

  • Experience working with video solutions and software such as Adobe Premiere, NRCS, MAM, video playout and live production. Willingness to learn new systems and share ideas for continuous improvement in our production ecoystem.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work autonomously and meet tight deadlines.

  • While an understanding of financial markets would be an advantage, it is not a requirement for the role. However, you will need to learn some basic terminology on the job.

Studio hours are generally 7.30am-6pm Monday to Friday with team members working flexible 8 hour shifts
