What's happening

We're on the hunt for a Duty Manager to lead our Public Bar, the beating heart of The Waterside. This is your chance to be part of an exciting new opening, shaping culture and standards from day one. Hands-on and visible, you'll run shifts with confidence, guide the team and make sure every guest leaves with a reason to return.

Who you are

You're a natural leader who thrives when it's busy. Running shifts comes second nature, you keep calm, delivering service that's as genuine as it is memorable.

  • You bring at least 3 years' experience in hospitality leadership, ideally in a high-volume bar or late-night venue
  • You coach, train and inspire your team, creating a culture of trust and drive
  • You're confident managing budgets, costs and rosters, adjusting quickly when last minute changes are needed
  • You know compliance inside out: RSA, late-night trade, food safety, WHS and security
  • You connect easily with people, building rapport with both staff and guests
  • You're up for the late nights (3–4am on weekends) and the energy they bring

Reporting to the Assistant Venue Manager, you'll help lead the Public Bar. This is your chance to lead a space that will set the tone in a venue that's already writing its own story.
