We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Duty Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our venue.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bar & floor, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, and managing inventory and supplies.
  • Train and manage bartenders and other front-of-house staff.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and guest satisfaction by greeting customers, addressing complaints and concerns, and making sure that staff are attentive and responsive to customer needs.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the bar and food service, increase sales, including creating drink specials, hosting events, and utilising social media and other advertising platforms.
  • Monitor and manage the venue's financial performance, including tracking expenses and revenue, analysing sales data, and making adjustments as necessary to ensure profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with all local and state regulations regarding RSA, also including checking IDs and enforcing responsible serving practices.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for customers and staff, including enforcing health and safety protocols and performing regular maintenance and cleaning tasks.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Duty Manager or similar role, with a track record of successfully managing staff and driving sales growth.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, customers, and vendors.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of alcoholic beverages and mixology, with the ability to create innovative and unique drink offerings.
  • Familiarity with local and state regulations regarding the sale of alcohol.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
