About the role

Legion Drilling Australia is a specialist provider of Environmental and Geotechnical drilling services to leading consulting firms. Our clients are a diverse range of commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects.

We are now looking for a First Year Diesel Fitter Apprentice to join our team in Pinkenba QLD.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and Workshop Supervisor, you will be required to carry out daily task as instructed efficiently and safely with an eye for detail and pride in your work. This will include basic maintenance and repairs of engines, pumps, cylinders, and hydraulic systems etc. on drill rigs, heavy vehicles, light vehicles, various plant and support equipment.

The additional skills we offer include fabrication, machining, electrical diagnostics and repair, boiler making and major component rebuilds. This role suits someone with an interest in developing a wide set of skills that is required to be a successful and versatile fitter.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Willing to undergo drug-screen and employment medical

  • Driver's license and own transport

  • Willingness to travel
