Nobul has been engaged to recruit a Diesel Fitter for a large Civil Contractor based in Brisbane. They have a fleet of 250 pieces of machinery ranging from utes up to graders and everything in between.

The Role:

  • Will be predominately based in the Brisbane workshop
  • Some away work based in country QLD (work on shift rosters on occasion with site based allowances)
  • Mainly a service role with both workshop and field service aspects
  • No full engine rebuilds just component rebuilds, service work & diagnostics
  • You will join a small team of fitters that have been with the company for over 10 years

What We're Looking:

  • We're looking for a full time Brisbane based fitter (with occasional away field work with the company) not looking for someone who's looking to step into a FIFO/mining role
  • Must be well rounded with service, fault finding, preventative & reactive maintenance and component rebuilds, occasional spray painting and welding work as well
  • Must be willing to work away at times, not often but will have swings out in country QLD
  • Must have a trade qualification in Diesel Fitting (or equivalent)
  • Basic knowledge with using word, excel & service programs
  • Previous experience ordering parts, running jobs from start to finish & working autonomously is highly advantageous

Perks & Benefits:

  • Permanent full time position with an hourly rate of $53-$60 p/h pending experience
  • Option for Casual at $60-$65 p/h for probation then full time after 6 months
  • Site allowances & LAHA when working away, accommodation and food supplied (OTE $150k++ per year)
  • Work with a close knit crew, other fitters have been there at least 5 years
