Our client, an Inner West based organisation, has an exciting opportunity for a proactive and experienced Learning and Development Specialist to join their People and Culture service unit for a 5 month contract. This is a fantastic chance to contribute to organisational development and change by ensuring the workforce has the capabilities needed for success, aligned with the core organisational values of integrity, respect, innovation, compassion, and collaboration.

The Learning and Development team focuses on the just-in-time delivery of people activities and programs.

The Role:

Reporting to the Learning & Development Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end coordination, design, and delivery of high-impact learning programs. You will be instrumental in fostering a culture of continuous learning and driving positive organisational change.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Program Design & Delivery: Designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating mandatory, technical, and leadership programs aligned with strategic objectives and compliance requirements.
  • LMS Management: Coordinating and managing the organisation's Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring accurate setup, data maintenance, and reporting functions for compliance and development needs.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Using data-driven insights to partner with teams, identifying learning needs, and crafting tailored solutions that drive real change. This includes collaborating with senior managers to provide strategic advice.
  • Project Management: Coordinating and managing the delivery of L&D programs, handling scheduling, logistics, resource allocation, and tracking progress effectively.
  • Continuous Improvement: Reviewing and evaluating learning programs to drive continuous improvement, ensuring relevance and alignment with current industry standards (understanding of improvement frameworks is desirable).
About You:

To be successful in this role, you'll need to demonstrate:

  • Expert Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in adult education, L&D, or a related discipline, and/or significant relevant experience in end-to-end delivery of high-profile L&D projects in a diverse organisation.
  • Proven Design Ability: Proven ability to design, develop, implement, deliver, and evaluate learning programs, including reporting on their effectiveness.
  • Strategic Insight: Experience using data to identify needs and craft solutions, demonstrating the ability to collaborate with senior managers effectively.
  • Project & Decision Skills: Demonstrated experience in strong project management and the ability to make informed and timely decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Essential Requirement: A current Class C (minimum) NSW Driver's Licence
