
Senior Network and Systems Administrator

We're seeking a Senior Network Systems Administrator to take ownership of complex network environments and drive technical excellence across our ICT and DevSecOps platforms. This role suits someone with deep technical expertise, a strong understanding of compliance, and a passion for secure, scalable solutions.
What you'll do:
- Architect and maintain secure, high-performance network infrastructure
- Manage and optimise virtual environments (ESXi, NSX, vSphere, Kubernetes)
- Implement and support firewalls, load balancers, gateways, and other security products
- Lead change control processes and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Monitor and troubleshoot complex network systems using advanced tools
- Design and test disaster recovery and backup solutions
- Automate network operations using tools like Ansible, Python, and PowerShell
- Collaborate across teams and mentor others in technical best practices
What you bring:
- Strong experience in secure, regulated environments (e.g. defence, government)
- Advanced knowledge of routing, switching, VPNs, and protocols like BGP, OSPF, MPLS
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, FortiNet, and Linux systems
- Proven ability to analyse and improve complex network architectures
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Willingness to apply for a Defence Security Clearance

Qualifications
Tertiary Education Information Technology or equivalent experience.
Security Clearance
Applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to hold and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Defence experience is desirable.
