Position: Quality Assurance Manager

Salary: $76,000 – $90,000 AUD Location: Sydney (Full-time)

We're looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you'll plan, organise, direct, and oversee the deployment of quality systems and certification processes that uphold our ISO standards and drive continuous improvement.

Position Description:

Plans, organises, directs, controls and coordinates the deployment of quality systems and certification processes within an organisation.

A Quality Assurance Manager is a professional in charge of ensuring that all services are provided with quality. In addition, they implement systems to help streamline the process of providing services to customers, making sure they meet company standards for safety. The person holding this position must have a great deal of knowledge about how things should work and excellent managerial skills.

As we continue to grow, the team at Geoscope, are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to help us on planning, organising, directing, controlling and coordinating the deployment of quality systems and certification processes within Geoscope. The role is based in Sydney and full-time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and help with Geoscope ISO Certification process
  • Ensure Compliance with the requirements of Geoscope accredited Quality System - ISO 9001:2015
  • Perform and help with Internal Audits and Management Review
  • Develop and maintain Quality audit program which conforms with the requirements of the system
  • Communicate and assist annual audit with external quality assurance officers during on-site inspections and ISO surveillance audits
  • Monitor and control the flow of corrective actions identified during internal and external quality audits.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of Geoscope's quality systems, plans and procedure.
  • Identify, manage and monitor quality objectives, requirements and risks that may impact Geoscope Operations and successful delivery of quality services.
  • Provides assistance with the documentation of processes and operating procedures and finds formal standards and regulatory codes that are suitable for an organisation's demands.
  • Identifies and develops goals, strategies, and plans to satisfy customers and make the best use possible of an organisation's resources, including looking for ways to make systems, processes, and work flows better.
  • Define, evaluate and audit the requirements of subcontractors and suppliers quality system
  • Uses statistical methods and quality control technologies to monitor and manage quality in order to meet the needs of internal and external customers.
  • Monitor all operations that affect quality and ensure workplace understands and meets its regulatory and legal requirements as they relate to quality
  • Review current Geoscope standards and policies and Ensure all legal standards are met
  • Keep records of quality reports, statistical reviews and relevant documentation
  • Investigating and setting standards for quality and determining training needs

Needs to have:

  • ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor Certification
  • Have proven knowledge in the following ISO standards; ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System is
  • Have at least 3 years' experience on handling and maintaining ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System Certification within organisation.
  • Proven experience as a quality assurance manager/ quality manager or relevant role specialised in Utility Detection Services Industry
  • Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards
  • Experience in Internal and External Audits
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systems
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills
  • Can communicate professionally and informally over the phone and in writing.
  • Comfortable handling confidential information
  • Excellent time management skills and can work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organisational and leadership abilities
  • Have relevant knowledge and experience with operations in providing Underground Service Locating, Concrete Scanning and Utility Surveying.
  • Strong familiarity with TfNSW Quality Management Requirements
  • Strong understanding of ISO standards and certification processes.
  • A proactive, enthusiastic, and flexible approach to problem-solving.
  • Commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement.
