The Role

Masterpet have an exciting opportunity for a proactive Quality Assurance (QA) Officer with excellent communication skills and high attention to detail to join the team.

As the key guardian of Masterpet's Quality Management System, you will ensure our products consistently meet the highest standards of safety, integrity, and customer satisfaction. You will also support our vision of being a trusted and innovative pet care brand by embedding quality into every aspect of our operations—from supplier partnerships to product delivery.

As such your ability to engage in supplier discussions that will ensure positive outcomes relating to audits and identifying non-conformances will be critical to success.

The role is based in Smeaton Grange, however quarterly travel to Parkes NSW will be required.

What you will do:

• Administer and implement the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements;
• Conduct inspections, sampling, and testing of raw materials, in-process and finished goods;
• Apply visual, functional, and measurement-based techniques to verify product quality;
• Lead quality assurance programs with key suppliers, including audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives;
• Investigate complaints, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions;
• Monitor trends and report insights to support product and process improvements;
• Identify opportunities for improvement and engage teams in execution.

What we are looking for:

• Tertiary Qualification in a Food Science or Pharmaceutical background preferred;
• QA or QC experience working within an FMCG environment;
• Sound understanding of product manufacturing regulatory requirements;
• Experience and understanding of the New Product Development (NPD) process;
• Basic-Intermediate level Word & Excel skills;
• Strong relationship skills with ability to work cross functionally.
