We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to play a pivotal role in managing and optimising a private cloud platform while leading complex infrastructure projects. This role combines technical expertise with hands-on delivery, giving you the opportunity to shape system performance, reliability, and customer outcomes at an enterprise level.

What You'll Do

  • Take ownership of a large-scale private cloud platform, ensuring up-time, performance, and capacity.
  • Lead and contribute to infrastructure uplift projects—including migrations, capacity upgrades, and modernisation.
  • Act as a 3rd level escalation point, resolving complex incidents and guiding outcomes.
  • Proactively manage system health through monitoring, root cause analysis, and preventative maintenance.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to engineers, supporting team growth and capability.
  • Collaborate with architects, pre-sales, and project managers to deliver high-quality technical solutions.

What You Bring

  • 8+ years' experience in IT infrastructure or cloud engineering (ideally within an MSP environment).
  • Strong skills in virtualisation (Nutanix/VMware), storage (IBM, NetApp, Dell, HPe), backup, and networking (Fortinet, Cisco, Dell).
  • Experience with Linux/IBM AIX administration and proactive system maintenance.
  • Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solutions-driven mindset.

Bonus points for: Hybrid/public cloud experience, ITIL certification, or advanced vendor certifications.
