We do more than collect the bin from your street we also; convert waste into clean energy, divert food waste from landfill and convert to compost, manufacture customised waste management equipment, asbestos removal, refine and recycle oil, manage and maintain our fleet inhouse and have our own bespoke technology systems.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Trade Qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team in Hobart. With great facilities, this role offers great work/life balance and career progression.

All levels of experience encouraged to apply

The role reports to the Operations Manager and you will be required to perform and coordinate mechanical repairs, diagnostics and servicing of heavy vehicles, and static equipment.

• Ensuring the fleet is maintained to and in compliance with Company Fleet Management Standards, with an emphasis on safety
• Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management System
• Maintaining contact with regional and national fleet management and interaction with suppliers and contractors

ABOUT YOU

• Have trade qualifications as a Truck Mechanic - Heavy Commercial Vehicles
• Demonstrate an exceptional eye for detail
• Complete pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing
• Have a HR and forklift licence (preferred)
• Have a good mechanical aptitude
• Demonstrate a professional and outcome focus
• Work well individually and as part of a team
• Want to be part of a culture of learning and continuous improvement
• Be dedicated and reliable; we are an essential services industry
• Demonstrate the ability to build rapport and relationships with all stakeholders
• Be dedicated to achieving high standards of safety compliance and customer service
