BAE Systems Digital Intelligence targets six primary market sectors: Defence, Space, C5ISR, National Security, Government & Critical National Infrastructure.  We focus on solutions and develop capability for Cybersecurity, Cross Domain Solutions and Digital Transformation challenges.

This role requires you to hold NV2 clearance due to the customer and solution needs. We are looking for an experienced Business Development professional who will play a pivotal role in developing relationships and growing the pipeline for our Defence & Space business throughout the capture realisation process.  You will be accountable to the Head of Business Development, National Security and Defence and contribute to the overall business strategy success through the provision of highly astute market and competitor insight and analysis.  As a member of a small local team you will be encouraged to contribute to our National Security and Critical National Infrastructure Portfolios.

Responsibilities:


  1. Establish, develop, manage and lead pipeline generation aligned with the business strategy within the C5ISR and Space market sectors.
  2. Establish, manage and develop key stakeholder relationships with clients, partners and BAE Systems Group, particularly DI UK and BAESA. The level of seniority of stakeholder relationships will be General Manager, up to Executive level within the Defence Industry sector.
  3. Manage all relevant opportunities within Salesforce in line with sales governance and process requirements, and end-to-end management of C5ISR and Space opportunities and leads, including conversion of qualified leads utilising the Miller Heiman Blue Sheet process.
  4. Inform the business of Defence Sector market trends, changes in business practices/technology, competitor analysis, and perspectives
  5. Establish and lead Integrated Capture Teams (ICT) as required to pursue and capture major Defence opportunities
  6. Contribute Australian perspective to BAE Systems Digital Intelligence's global Defence business development.

Key Skills: 


  1. Skilled in leading win strategy and solution development, typically in high value and/or strategic captures
  2. Strong Customer Relationship Management for the local business unit/sector and champions a customer focused approach
  3. Experience in leading the construction of compelling business cases ranging from tactical to strategic level, with support from the business development team
  4. Bid leadership, able to manage mid to high level strategic business cases aligned to strategy and play a pivotal role in developing internal relationships and growing organisation support.
