The Role:

Due to our ever-increasing growth, we are now looking for qualified heavy vehicle Technicianto join our team in our quality and professionally equipped workshop, in Tamworth.  You will work with a dedicated team in servicing, diagnosing and repairing our customers trucks to keep them moving. This role will provide you with considerable variety and experience.

In this role, you will participate in the following :

• Deliver a first-class service to our customers
• Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products
• Be part of our on call breakdown roster
• Diagnose and repair various faults
• Engine rebuilding and reconditioning
• Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies and  procedures.
• Complete required documentation, such as service repair orders, timesheets, warranty documentation using our various methods of reporting Key responsibilities will include:
• providing high-quality workmanship in mechanical service, repair and maintenance;
• willingness to continually learn and develop with product changes;
• providing an outstanding level of customer service
• Show your commitment to teamwork
• Sharing your knowledge with other Team members
• Enhancing our Customer Satisfaction outcomes

About you – what can you offer us:

• Volvo, Mack UD and Fuso experience (desirable but not essential)
• Mechanical trades qualified as a Heavy or Light Vehicle Mechanic (to Australian standards)
• Proven diagnostic and troubleshooting skills;
• Works safely, team player, excellent communicator and problem-solver
• Car licence
• LR, MR, HR and forklift licence (desirable but not essential)
• HVIS Inspection qualified

We also welcome second to fourth year apprentices and overseas and interstate truck Technicians.

Our Growth:

J T Fossey has been involved in the Heavy Transport business for almost 50 years. It all began when Ford Louisville came to Australia in 1975. In 1982 UD came to Australia and J T Fossey were given the opportunity to also promote this relatively small company, of a high standard Japanese Truck. In 1995 Mitsubishi came on board which increased our model availability. In 2000 we welcomed Volvo Trucks to our already impressive lineup. This gave us a cab over prime mover and the ability to engineer specialized built trucks in the factory in Brisbane. In 2008 we were delighted to become the Mack Truck Dealer. Volvo and Mack Trucks are built in the manufacturing facility in Brisbane QLD - authentically Australian made.

Our Dealership:

Located at 30 Dampier Street, Tamworth, we have a 3 points of access which is easily negotiable by B Double truck and trailers. Our yard consists of large area's of concrete and gravelled areas for parking and storing new and customer trucks and trailers. The building consists of Sales, Parts and Service offices with a large Parts warehouse and showroom which includes a customer area to watch TV and have a coffee. Our workshop has 6 full length drive through bays, Our wheel alignment bay and 2 Pre delivery bays. In addition we have a wash bay, tool and oil stores. Our service pit bay has a comprehensive oil delivery system that makes servicing easy and precise. Being situated on the New England Highway and half way between Sydney and Brisbane see's us being a strategic Dealership for many Transport operations.

Our normal hours of operation are from 7.00am til 5.30pm, with staff members regularly here before and after those hours, helping our customers to complete their business obligations.

We have been awarded many times as a rurally based Dealership exceeding targets and customer satisfaction obligations. Our sales team is leading the charge with over 45% market share within our PMA.
