About the Role
As the HR Business Partner, you will support the General Manager Enabling Services in providing day-to-day HR functions to managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle.
You'll be the first point of contact for HR queries, partnering with leaders to drive best-practice people management, and contribute to a positive workplace culture aligned with Omnia's values and strategic goals.
This is a hands-on generalist role where you'll have the opportunity to make an impact across recruitment, onboarding, performance, compliance, and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide HR advice and support to managers and employees on a wide range of people matters.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment, from job ads to onboarding, ensuring compliance with EEO and IR legislation.
• Lead onboarding and offboarding processes, including exit interviews and compliance checks.
• Maintain accurate employee data and HR records in Employment Hero.
• Support payroll with Award interpretation and payroll-related queries.
• Assist in implementing performance management and training initiatives.
• Develop and update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and relevance.
• Support compliance monitoring, certification validity, and employee wellbeing initiatives.
• Coordinate employee engagement activities including wellbeing programs.
• Complete HR reporting on a series of metrics including but not limited to employee turnover, employee absenteeism, and compliance audits.
About You
To succeed in this role, you'll be an enthusiastic and proactive HR professional with a strong generalist background and a genuine interest in supporting people and culture initiatives. Prepared to roll up your sleeves to proactively support the organisation.
You'll bring:
• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a HR generalist or advisory role.
• Sound knowledge of Australian employment law and HR best practice.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality and compliance.
• Ability to work autonomously, prioritise effectively, and handle competing demands.
• Experience using HRIS systems (preferably Employment Hero).
