About the Role

We are seeking dedicated and caring Learning Enrichment Assistants to join our Inclusive Education team. Positions are available on a 12-month contract basis commencing in 2026.

Working under the direction of the Learning Enrichment Coordinator, these roles support teachers to meet the educational, social, and emotional needs of students requiring additional assistance. You will assist in delivering classroom and small-group learning support programs and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support teachers with learning activities, classroom management, and intervention programs.
  • Assist students with additional learning needs, including those with Personalised Plans for Learning (PPLs).
  • Use discretion and initiative to adapt learning materials and provide feedback on student progress.
  • Document observations and progress using SEQTA and other school systems.
  • Supervise and support students during classroom activities, excursions, and school events.
  • Contribute positively to the school community and uphold the ethos and values of a Catholic school.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A Certificate IV in Education Support (or equivalent) is desirable or relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Experience working with children, particularly those with additional needs (highly desirable).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent organisation and time management, with the ability to work autonomously.
  • A commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and ongoing professional learning.

Additional requirements:

  • Current Working with Children Check and Catholic Education SA clearance. (or willing to obtain)
  • Current Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RRHAN-EC) certificate. (or willing to obtain)
  • First Aid certification relevant to the role. (or willing to obtain)
  • Continence Care training (desirable). (or willing to obtain)
