About the Client

Our client is a well-established Civil Construction company providing comprehensive services, including drainage, stormwater, earthworks, and road construction. They are currently seeking skilled Civil Excavator Operators for various projects across North Brisbane.

What You Will Be Doing

This role requires an experienced operator comfortable working in a Civil Construction setting, preferably with water management sector experience.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Using GPS system on Excavator
  • Working with the ground crew to excavate and install pipe laying systems on line and to grade
  • Excavating trenches for a large diameter poly pipe 900mm including backfilling and compaction. Loading and installing trench support systems
  • Detailed excavations around existing live services
  • Shoring box installation and Bore pit excavation for tunnel boring machines
  • Following directions from the ground crew regarding excavation, craning, gravel placement, and grading
  • Placement of sewer, water, and drainage pipes and fittings, conduits, and culverts
  • Assisting in the construction of concrete structures such as manholes, chambers,
  • pits, and headwalls
