We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a BMS Commissioning Technician to join our Sydney Building Automation team. Working various customer projects, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within one of the fastest growing areas of the Siemens business.
The Sydney BMS commissioning team is critical to Siemens' total business offering, and the successful candidate will show strong customer relationship, and communication skills within their list of core attributes.
Reporting to the Sydney Commissioning Team Leader for Building Automation, the candidate will be required to lead the delivery of building automation projects in line with Siemens' corporate values and processes. They will be able to lead and complete technical oriented project and service work of various scopes and provide support in planning and managing these works at various levels. They will be required to work on a multitude of sites around NSW and will be available for after hours and on call support as part of this role where required.
The candidate will be responsible for a broad scope of technical and non-technical tasks which include project co-ordination, project commissioning, design, evaluation of customer's equipment and assisting with site OH&S audits, among others. They may also be required to provide input into technical design and development for service and project offerings, along with estimating, planning, and reviewing of technical tasks in support of overall project acquisition, negotiation, planning and management.
To be considered for this opportunity, the successful candidate will need to possess the following:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to demonstrate strong customer engagement and relationship skills
• Experience with HVAC fundamentals and systems
• Knowledge and experience of Building Automation systems
• Proficiency with computers, networks and 3rd party software (i.e. Microsoft)
• Experience with PLC / Process software programming (desirable)
The successful candidate will have a desire to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction with a knowledge and drive to improve business operating efficiencies whilst attaining operational and customer related goals. As a Siemens Engineering Specialist, you will enjoy working in a solid team environment and you will have work experience in service, maintenance and installation of HVAC systems and/or controls.
