Role overview:
As a Substation Technician, you'll play a key role in keeping Australia and New Zealand's power infrastructure running safely, efficiently and sustainably. You'll work on cutting-edge Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) systems, including AIS & GIS Switchgear, Busway systems, and automation technologies.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Installing, commissioning, and maintaining advanced electrical infrastructure
- Performing preventative and corrective maintenance, upgrades, and workshop repairs
- Delivering technical expertise and trusted support to our valued clients
- Upholding Siemens' world-class standards for safety, quality and customer satisfaction
About You:
- Minimum five years of experience with LV and MV distribution systems
- Unrestricted Electrical Licence (A Grade or equivalent)
- Valid Driver's Licence and flexibility to travel for site work
- A genuine passion for technology, innovation, and customer success
Additional qualifications that would be advantageous:
- Electrical engineering background or equivalent experience
- Experience in Partial Discharge Testing and protection relay testing
- Knowledge of SF6 gas handling
